I'd spent years sleeping in the living room two or three nights a week. The first week I didn't notice much; the second, my wife told me she'd slept straight through.
-
I bought it for my husband more out of desperation than faith. He wears it without complaining, which is rare for him, and I've stopped waking up at three in the morning.
-
I'm a very light sleeper and anything bothers me. Not this. You feel it for the first few minutes and then you forget you're wearing it.

How it works
A sensor, a pulse, and off to sleep.
It listens
If you don't snore, it never switches on.
It responds
A gentle pulse. It doesn't hurt and it doesn't wake you.
On your throat
Where the muscle that makes you snore relaxes.
And it goes quiet
When you stop, it stops.
How to use it
Frequently asked questions
How does it actually work?
How does it actually work?
A sensor picks up the sound of snoring. When it recognises it, it sends a gentle electrical pulse through the skin, over the muscles of the throat. If you don't snore, it never switches on.
It's the same family of technology used by electrical muscle stimulation devices in physiotherapy.
Is it uncomfortable to sleep in?
Is it uncomfortable to sleep in?
It's light and the band is soft silicone, so it doesn't press or leave a mark.
You notice it for the first few minutes, like anything new you wear to sleep. After that you forget you have it on.
How long does the battery last?
How long does the battery last?
Several nights per charge. Exactly how long depends on how many times it activates during the night: the more it has to work, the sooner it runs down.
It charges with the USB cable that comes in the box, so there's nothing extra to buy.
Does it work for every kind of snoring?
Does it work for every kind of snoring?
It's designed for common snoring, the kind that happens when the muscles in your throat relax as you sleep.
It is not a medical device and it does not replace medical treatment. If you snore very loudly, wake up gasping for air, or feel exhausted during the day even after sleeping for hours, those can be signs of sleep apnea: talk to your doctor before buying anything.
How many days until I notice something?
How many days until I notice something?
There's no fixed timeframe, and be wary of anyone who gives you one. What we do know is that for the first few nights you'll notice you're wearing it, and that's normal.

What people who already sleep are saying
-
Everything that comes in the box
It arrived in nine days. You get the device, the USB cable and the manual. The manual is in Chinese, fair warning, but you don't really need it: you put it on and that's that.
-
Smaller than I expected
It looks bigger in the photos. It weighs almost nothing and the band is soft, it doesn't press at all.
-
I charge it like my phone
I leave it on the nightstand a couple of times a week and that's it. I've forgotten some days and it still held up.
-
I take it when I travel
It takes up no space in my toiletry bag. I've taken it on two work trips and my roommate was grateful.
-
I took this photo myself
I took it the first night, laughing my head off. I'm happier about it than he is, honestly.
-
I tried everything before this
Nasal strips and throat spray. The strips peel off after half an hour and the spray tastes awful. At least you don't have to swallow this one.
-
I sleep on my side and it doesn't bother me
That was what worried me most. I put it on, roll over and forget it's there.
-
It arrived sooner than expected
I bought it for my dad. The box is nicely presented, it looks a lot more expensive than it is.

Night 5
I wrote this note to remember the day. Five nights and I'm finally sleeping straight through.
